PAINTING
Utilizing automated and manual processes, PMA PHOTOMETALS can provide professional paint finishing for your project to meet strict specifications.
FORMING
Metal forming is a metalworking process of fashioning metal parts and objects through mechanical deformation wherein the workpiece is reshaped without adding or removing materials, and its mass remains unchanged.
ANODIZATION
Anodizing increases resistance to corrosion and wear, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. Most commonly applied to protect aluminum parts, PMA PHOTOMETALS works closely with trusted partners in the industry to provide these services in conjunction with our photo chemical machining process – to provide a single supplier relationship for our customers.
PASSIVATION
Passivation is a widely-used metal finishing process to prevent corrosion. The chemical treatment leads to a protective oxide layer, or passivation film, that is less likely to chemically react with air and cause corrosion. PMA PHOTOMETALS works closely with trusted partners in the industry to provide these services in conjunction with our photo chemical machining process – to provide a single supplier relationship for our customers.
HEAT TREATING
Heat treating is a group of industrial, thermal and metalworking processes used to alter the physical and sometimes chemical properties of metal. Heat treatment techniques may include annealing, carburizing, quenching, case hardening, decarburizing, tempering, nitriding, and others. There are a number of advantages of heat treating including changes to material hardness, changes to machinability, changes to tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and more. While we do not perform heat treating in-house at PMA PHOTOMETALS, we work closely with trusted partners in the industry to provide these services in conjunction with our photo chemical machining process – to provide a single supplier relationship for our customers.
PLATING
Plating is a surface covering in which a metal is deposited on a conductive surface. Plating has been performed for hundreds of years and yet is also critical in some applications for modern technology. Plating is often used to decorate objects, for corrosion inhibition, to improve solderability, to harden, to improve wearability, to reduce friction, to improve paint adhesion, to alter conductivity, to improve IR reflectivity, for radiation shielding, and other purposes. While we do not perform these services in-house at PMA PHOTOMETALS, we work closely with trusted partners in the industry to provide these services in conjunction with our photo chemical machining process – to provide a single supplier relationship for our customers.
PACKAGING
PMA PHOTOMETALS provides consumer and industrial packaging services for a number of its customers – both in large quantities and for small production runs. PMA PHOTOMETALS is well equipped to produce professional packaging in-house. However, we also have trusted partners that can assist with additional printed packaging options – either way we can produce your products and provide packaging services in-house.
